Early access begins on Steam for Ancient Kingdoms, a trading ARPG that allows up to 4 players to play multiplayer in a 16-bit style pixel art world.

January 15, 2025, Ancient Pixels is a 16-bit style pixel art top-down action RPG『Ancient Kingdoms』ofEarly access has started on Steam.

An action RPG that allows up to 4 players to play multiplayer using 16-bit style pixel art.

This work is a 2D top-down action RPG with impressive pixel art reminiscent of games from the 16-bit era. Players create a character that combines races such as human, elf, dwarf, and goblin with six types of occupations: warrior, ranger, cleric, rogue, wizard, and druid, and go on an adventure with the created character.

After accepting the quest, dive into the dungeon and defeat the enemies. You can use different skills with different keyboard inputs.

Characters become stronger by acquiring and strengthening skills through equipment with various effects and skill trees. Strengthen your character and aim for deeper dungeons.

This game also allows online and offline cooperative multiplayer for up to four players. Explore dungeons around the world with your friends.

At the start of early access, the core mechanics of both single-player and multiplayer games have already been completed, and the five basic stages are fully playable. New dungeons, enemies, equipment, etc. will be added through early access for about a year, and after the official release, the end content, a world called Outer Plane, will be added in an update.


"Ancient Kingdoms" is in early access on PC (Steam) for 1,800 yen (1,620 yen until January 30th). There is also a possibility that the price will increase during the one-year early access period. Additionally, Japanese language is not supported at the start of early access.
